THE BEAST IS BACK! It’s looking like we’ll get Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena at WWE Clash in Paris. With only 12 dates left on his retirement tour, expect John Cena to bring out a herculean effort on the Clash PLE. As for the winner of that, I wouldn’t be surprised if Cena wins, but The Beast Incarnate will be getting the W, I think.

The audacity of this man. Seth FREAKIN’ Rollins! From the Heist of the Century to RUSE OF THE CENTURY—AND NEW World Heavyweight Champion yet again!

The injury angle they did was great. At first, the WWE Universe were torn whether it was legit or not. However, as we got closer to SummerSlam, we felt a sway of opinion. Fans really felt that he’ll be showing up to at SummerSlam—just a matter who he will cash it in: the winner of Gunther vs. CM Punk, or the winner of John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes. Last night, we got our answer.

Seth Rollins one up’ed CM Punk yet again. This is a friggin’ evergreen feud, and I totally LOVE IT. Two guys that absolutely hate each other, they won’t stop going for each other’s throats. With Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in the mix, you can certainly tell that CM Punk will be teaming up with others to try and take down Seth Rollins’ stable. Obvious picks are Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, especially heading into Survivor Series. But I hope they involve new guys in the mix for this war, getting the rub along the way.

The OTC is officially back! Even with Seth Rollins out of action in the foreseeable future (though this might be an elaborate work), Roman Reigns returned on RAW and helped his cousin Jey Uso, and CM Punk from a heinous beatdown c/o Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. As CM Punk earned the right to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, it is very likely that it’s gonna be Jey Uso and Roman Reigns vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at SummerSlam. That should be freakin’ awesome.

Now with a new nickname of OTC1, Roman Reigns marches into SummerSlam (and beyond) armed with revenge in mind against Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins’ group. Time will tell if we’re going to see something new with this version of the OTC.

Cody Rhodes Wallpaper as The Nightmare King!

When the King of the Ring tournament started, it was pretty obvious that Cody Rhodes was slated to win the whole thing. We’re seeing parallels to John Cena and Roman Reigns‘ careers, as Cody Rhodes has been pushed to the moon since coming back to WWE. The King of the Ring is just another accolade to the illustrious career Cody has been establishing. It is something that he doesn’t really need, but still awarded to him. Personally, I’m not mad about it—especially if it’s part of the slow burn to becoming a villain once again.

There are hints here and there, but the one that really stood out to me is how he didn’t hesitate to target Randy Orton’s back in the finals of the King of the Ring, with Drew McIntyre even pointing it out in the recent SmackDown episode. As a result of his win against Randy Orton, he’s now facing John Cena at SummerSlam. For instance, Cody wins the Undisputed WWE Championship and Seth Rollins cashing in right after and winning the title, could that be the catalyst for Cody to start his heel run?

The Nightmare King?

As the Nightmare King, he could be tapping into his meaner side, similar to what John Cena is doing now. A mad king of sorts perhaps. Heck, they can even do a double turn at some point, as John Cena ultimately goes back to being a babyface before he retires at the end of 2025. Furthermore, Cody Rhodes even said himself that he’s at the end of his babyface run. I believe that should account for something. He’s very much aware of what’s going around him, and what is needed to be done.

Thus, the Nightmare King is poised to reclaim his dominion over WWE.

It was inevitable, as Queen Cargill is a force of nature—regardless of her experience or skills, or whether Asuka deserved it more. She’s now posed to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship, maybe as soon as Evolution 2. With the momentum that she has right now, it’s not impossible to imagine that she can dethrone the uber-talented Tiffy Time. The feud was short for my liking, as I would’ve love to see them continue going at it for a few more weeks. Cena’s Pipebomb and Punk’s Basic Punkanomics promos brought out the best in this heel run by the GOAT. Ron Killings added some fire into it too I should say.
