Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns (and Dean Ambrose) – Legacy of The Shield Wallpaper

The Shield’s book finally closed at SummerSlam, when Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins fought for the World Heavyweight Championship. They paid a beautify tribute and closure to their long-standing rivalry/story, and it will definitely be remembered as one of the best WWE SummerSlam main events of all time.

Dean Ambrose (AEW’s Jon Moxley) may not have been part of it physically, but Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns made sure he wasn’t left out of the story. Both competitors hit each other with Dean’s moves as tribute to the former Fringe Lunatic. Rollins’ mask being placed in the middle of the ring became Ambrose’s representation, too.

It was truly bittersweet to witness such historic moment, with The Shield’s fist pose to signify the finality and closing of the book in The Shield’s story.

FIGHT OWENS FIGHT..FOREVER – Kevin Owens Return Wallpaper

And just like that, Kevin Owens is now the number 1 contender to CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship. That’s gonna be a very, VERY spicy one for sure!

Last night at SummerSlam Night 2, Kevin Owens made a surprise return and was inserted in the number 1 contendership match along with Gunther. What was supposed to be a 1on1 matchup between Sami Zayn and Finn Balor turned quickly to a 4-way. Sami Zayn was stunned, like literally at the start and end of the match. This is looking to be another chapter in the Sami Zayn-Kevin Owens friendship / rivalry, as I can imagine the Last Good Guy wasn’t happy about that. Even if it was his best friend making a triumphant return from a potential career-ending injury, the former Undiputed WWE Champion will likely turn on him soon, maybe as ealy as this Friday’s SmackDown.

Enough of Sami though. Kevin Owens is back, and back with a some serious momentum. A feud with CM Punk..man. I hope pipebombs will be dropped. I wouldn’t be surprised Owens taking the title off Punk this soon. Unlikely, but entirely possible.

CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins will never get old. The hatred between these two WWE Superstars have never been more intense. They legitimately can’t stand each other, and the resulting fights or brawls have always been spectacular to see. Steel cage match on next week’s RAW? Hell yeah. Another match at WrestleMania 41? Count me in, though CM Punk looks like he’ll be cashing in on that favor from Paul Heyman soon!

Just let these men fight each other every week. I swear this real-life feud is really good stuff, great for the business overall.

John Cena HEEL TURN! Sold his soul to the Final Boss!

Just when you thought Cody Rhodes is about to align with the Final Boss and start his Homelander run, John Cena pulls off a shocking HEEL TURN and flips the wrestling world upside down! Many are comparing it to Hulk Hogan’s heel turn and rightfully so. Both are beloved babyfaces for such a long time, then unexpectedly becoming villains. As the popular line says: “You live long enough to see yourself become a villain”. In both cases, it turned out true.

I can see 2 stories being told here. In a storyline perspective, John Cena was so desperate that he sold his soul to the Final Boss to make sure he gets his 17th World Championship before he retires. Remember, he hasn’t won a meaningful singles match in years..was it 2018? That’s a very long singles losing streak. After getting eliminated by Jey Uso in the Royal Rumble, that probably set him over the edge. Looking back at post-match conference he had at the time, I can see now that it was a prelude of him going heel.

The other story is WWE going all-in on their support for Cody Rhodes. For them to allow John Cena to go heel (heck even during his retirement tour), it feels like WWE is saying that they have full confidence that Rhodes can take over Cena’s previous role. Building Cody into an underdog babyface that goes against a power trip duo of The Rock and John Cena is creative genius. This should be fun in the coming months! Also, this paves the way for Cody Rhodes to eventually turn heel as well, as he has been betrayed multiple times already since coming back to WWE. He’ll be fed up at some point, and we’ll probably see the Homelander version of him we’ve been all waiting for when that time comes.

Haters say he’s just not a great singles competitor. Matt and Jeff Hardy are back in WWE television via NXT-TNA partnership. The duo are currently the TNA World Tag Team Champions, and because of the collaboration between the 2 companies, it was only a matter of time before they show up again—and show up they did this past Tuesday. Expect more appearances from the Hardyz this year, as they get acclimated again to WWE programming. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they’re back full time in RAW or SmackDown after WrestleMania season. The exposure for the TNA tag titles would also be enormous if Jeff and Matt stay in TNA’s roster. Heck, an invasion angle might be something in the works, right?

Penta Cero Miedo Flames Wallpaper

Penta has been off to a FIERY start with WWE, building up his name to a household familiarity level, and becoming a fixture in WWE RAW programming. His recent vignette was so badass, with flames surrounding him and reiterating his famous catchphrase—CERO MIEDO! WWE is doing this right, which how it should be for every big name they sign to their brand. The man has yet to show his full extent of his capabilities, which I got to admit I haven’t seen much as well outside AEW highlight clips. I like his look and arsenal of moves he had shown in the past weeks, and so it’s safe to assume I wouldn’t be surprised of what he’ll be able to do more, as he’s very much capable. His merch game has been top-notch so far, too.

After seeing Penta’s fire vignette, I got inspired to recreate his official WWE cartoon design into the flames scene. I think it turned out just the way I envisioned it! See the links below for the appropriate wallpaper resolution(s) you might be looking for. 😃
