Rumors are getting louder: CM Punk’s return to wrestling is now inevitable. With AEW scooping him up, the wrestling world is excited to see Mr. Cult of Personality yet again (except WWE management lol). News have been circulating around that he’s been training hard and as if he didn’t lose a step.

I’m hoping real bad that CM Punk’s comeback, together with the red-hot AEW, makes a lot of noise not only in the wrestling industry but the mainstream aspect too. We need another golden era, and CM Punk might just be the man to lead AEW to that path.

Truly enjoyed Chris Jericho’s match against Nick Cage in a brutal death match at last night’s AEW Fight For The Fallen. “The Painmaker” version of Jericho was a perfect fit. The second Labour of Jericho was absolutely the match of the night, even MJF would find it hard to disagree with that statement.

Chris Jericho posted a selfie after the match and boy was he lucky to survive from that, with age not on his side. It shows a lot as to how the man is dedicated to what he does. BIG props to The Painmaker Chris Jericho!

It’s great to see Nikki thriving in her new A.S.H gimmick. I’m still skeptical as to the longevity of this persona, however, if anyone can make this work in the long run, no doubt it’s Nikki. Heck, Nikki can portray just about anything and turn it into gold, literally. Now that she’s holding the RAW Women’s Championship, and with WWE SummerSlam also on the horizon, expect things to heat up real quick and see recent former champs Rhea Ripley and Charlotte take a shot at winning the pretigious title.

Oh yes. What a time to be a wrestling fan again, with AEW on a roll, Impact partnering with other promotions, fans back in the arena chanting and just purely enjoying the shows, and WWE throwing the big names (and matchups) for this year’s WWE SummerSlam. Edge vs. Rollins is a sure bet. Perhaps Lashley and a returning Goldberg being announced tomorrow? But heck, it doesn’t get any bigger than a possible Universal Championship between 2 icons: John Cena vs. Roman Reigns. It’s only a matter of formal announcement, since it has been rumored for months now that Cena is being penciled for a match against the Head of the Table this summer.

It’s always good for the business when someone like John Cena wrestle again and help solidify active WWE talents. Roman Reigns would still probably retain though.

Whatever the outcome is, we all win. MITB was really good, and it makes me hopeful that WWE can keep the momentum going with a superb SummerSlam event.
