Kane has gone back to his roots. The mask says it all. It’s his most sinister, evil-looking mask yet. It needs a bit more tweaking yeah but I can live with it.  He’ll be raising hell no matter what anyway. What a way to close 2011. Kane will certainly end it with a bang!

It’s easy to see that Kane will be pushed as the top heel on the RAW brand. With reports surfacing about WWE not having much faith in Miz and Alberto del Rio as their top heels on RAW, that gives a huge hint that Kane will be wrecking his way to the top again, with a renewed and LEGIT monster personality. People around him need to fear him 100% for this version to work just like before and for him to establish his mask persona again. Damn, times like these make me forget the PG crap. Thank you Kane for making that possible!

2011 has been a very good year for young and up and coming WWE Superstars. Prime example of this is Zack Ryder, who made himself matter to the WWE Universe, to think he almost got future-endeavored before. Now, he’s probably outselling John Cena on merchandise sales. The guy truly worked his ass off to get where he’s at right now.

How about Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler? Currently, they are the Intercontinental and US Champions, respectively..but I don’t see them staying champs for any longer. These 2 men are quickly and surely gaining momentum towards the main event scene. The aura of these two are much more different than before. They look like big-time players now. Cody’s feud with Orton was top-notch while Ziggler’s current conflict with Ryder reminds me of how Triple H and The Rock were stealing the show during their midcard days. Cody Rhodes vs. Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship and CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship, both at WrestleMania 28? Looks pretty damn good to me!

Speaking of Daniel Bryan, have you seen him work lately? His feuds with Mark Henry and Michael Cole gave him more spunk on his personality. Those feuds gave new life to his character (that he badly needs). He has the MITB briefcase and will be cashing in at next year’s WrestleMania so it’s pretty safe to assume that he’ll be in the main event soon enough. Wade Barrett, the former leader of Nexus (and to a certain extent, The Corre), is now truly on his own and tearing SmackDown with huge wins. Also, that monster feud with Orton finally makes him legit. BTW, do you see a trend here? Yep, Orton makes his opponents A LOT better. The potential has always been there, it just needs to be tapped..and Randy Orton is helping him do it. Maybe an Undertaker match at WrestleMania 28 will solidify his spot on the top.

WWE Survivor Series is just right around the corner and personally, I can’t wait! Apart from CM Punk winning the WWE title (that’s a prediction btw),  we’re gonna see Rocky wrestle again after 7 years. A bit of ring rust will be there but overall, I think The Rock will still manage to bring his entertaining way of ass-whoopin’ to Awesome Truth (and hopefully Cena) like he never went away from wrestling. With the way he’s training for this match and how he looks like a beast now, this match will be something that The Rock will make sure he proves his greatness again. He’ll be serving a number of People’s Elbows and Rock Bottoms for sure. As for my prediction, even with the smackdown Awesome Truth they’re about to get, Miz and R-Truth will win this tag match. The outcome will further set up the Rock-Cena WrestleMania match and give Awesome Truth with some serious and legit bragging rights. Whatever the outcome will be, we, the fans, are the real winners here. Epic tag match comin’ up!

The pinup strong movement, spearheaded by Beth Phoenix and Natalya, isn’t doing quite well lately with Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres and Alicia Fox not allowing themselves to be bullied around. Maybe they’ll play this out with the “Barbie dolls” still winning most of their matches against the two. It’s not like there are a lot of WWE Divas that can believably hold their ground against the likes of The Glamazon and Natalya, but this will be the trend for the rest of the year and early next year..until Kharma comes back. That’s the only time I think that these three (Beth etc.) will run over the entire WWE Diva roster..though it’s possible that Kharma will return as a face and feud with Natalya and Beth. Long term, I really don’t see anything clear or good coming out of these feuds unless WWE decides to get LEGIT female wrestlers and build them up like what TNA does for their women’s division. Until then, let’s just wish for the return of the bra and panties match. Yep.

Hey Cena fans, look what we have here today! It’s the latest John Cena shirt design! Okay I’m sounding like a sarcastic older bro here.

Kidding aside, John Cena is still the man to beat at the top of the WWE mountain, like it or not. CM Punk is closely getting there, but right now, WWE is still Cena’s world, his rules and his likeness (hence the PG stuff. With Rocky coming for him in the next few months, I can see this will be a start of something new for him. I’m guessing it’ll culminate right after his match against The Great One at WrestleMania 28. Oh yes, I’m talking about the heel turn. After Rocky, there’s not much for him to do and I think it’ll be the perfect time to experiment something new for him. CM Punk will be the face champ by then and Cena will be the newly-turned heel challenger. How good would that be? Cena has brought the ratings and money being the PG guy, I believe he’ll do the same (and likely a lot more) when he finally makes that much-awaited turn. For now, we’ll be looking forward for the continuation of his feud against The Rock. Again, like it or not, that match WILL main event WrestleMania 28.

Cody Rhodes may have lost to Randy Orton at WWE Vengeance but he surely made his mark on the radar of the WWE Universe. He showed that he can hang with the top dogs and is now ready to take the next step at becoming a main eventer. As I’ve said before, his facial injure has been a blessing in disguise for him. He was able to showcase this crazy, grotesque character that most of us find interesting and compelling. Looking back, the “Dashing” Cody Rhodes gimmick looks garbage compared to the one he’s doing now. With Vince McMahon slowly getting behind Rhodes’ character, it’ll be only a matter of time before we see him fight for the World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship. There is no stopping Cody’s road to greatness.

I understand why Kurt Angle had to turn heel. Bobby Roode needs to beat a huge and credible main eventer at BFG to solidify his ascent to the top as the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Angle is best suited for that role.

Bobby has been riding an incredible amount of momentum for months now. If there’s one thing TNA can proudly showcase right now, it’s Bobby’s main event push. He’s ready for it. It’s really his time now. I applaud TNA for getting this one right. Roode looks really humbled by this, real life and storyline-wise. I specially like the video they aired last Thursday’s Impact Wrestling showing how this opportunity has affected Roode and his family. It not only gives a lot of meaning to the title but for every wrestler in the TNA roster and their families as well. This is exactly how championships matches should be treated, especially how it affects a wrestler who will be getting his/her first shot at glory. Well done TNA!

A year ago, if someone were to ask me if I see Mark Henry being the WWE or World Heavyweight Champion at least once in his career, I’d totally say never. Fast forward to today and what do you know, Mark Henry is now the top dog on SmackDown! Kudos to the creative for getting his push right. I’ve never seen Mark Henry looked this good, this legit. And that’s already saying a lot.

After 15 years in the wrestling business, Mark Henry has finally reached the top of the mountain. His monster persona, especially his Hall of Pain gimmick, has put everyone on notice. Kane, Big Show, Sheamus, Great Khali, Zack Ryder and Randy Orton were some of the ones who experienced this first hand. No one is safe when this mammoth of a man is around, wrestler or not.  And that includes the future challengers for his World Heavyweight Championship that he is planning to keep for at least another 15 years. A tall order but still feels legit to everyone’s ears.

With the emergence of CM Punk plus him feuding with the recently-assigned COO Triple H and Kevin Nash, the “destiny” of Alberto del Rio and his Cena-centric feud with, of course, John Cena, Miz and R-Truth were left in the rubble. Everything they have said recently are true. Now that they have a common ground or cause, these 2 loudmouths are ready to cause chaos again not only on the tag team division, but on the whole WWE programming itself. Sick of being underutilized, R-Truth and Miz will be seeking to reach the top of the mountain again and plan to stay there for a long while.
