Overall, it has been a great year for WWE. New bonafide WWE Superstars were made, rivalries were intense and sometimes, edgy..but more importantly, new champions were crowned. Granted I would’ve preferred Daniel Bryan as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, I must say Randy Orton is doing a fine job being the top and most hated heel champ. The face of the WWE is now back to being the top dog in the industry and from the looks of it, he ain’t going to lose the WWE World Heavyweight Championship soon.

How about Dean Ambrose? Well, for some reason, he is not being booked to defend the US Championship on a constant basis. Weird. Big E Langston is giving new life to the midcard division by simply becoming the Intercontinental Champion. At least, the likes of Fandango, Curtis Axel and Damien Sandow are targeting his prestigious IC belt. AJ Lee has dominated the Divas division, period. Not even the ratings of Total Divas can take the belt away from her. Who’s gonna stop her in 2014? I’m thinking Paige. Lastly, the Rhodes brothers are tearing it up in the Tag Team division. I like how they’re not unbeatable but look to be the team to beat because of their natural chemistry. Goldust has been rejuvenated and Cody is killing it with mastery of his wrestling skill set.

Again, 2013 has been good to wrestling fans. There were certainly a couple of ups and downs..but 2014 is shaping up to be a sleeper and has a shot on bringing a new start of a golden era in WWE (at least) again. I dunno exactly why, but my gut tells me we’re in store for an exciting roller coaster ride in a few months time! ‘Sup everyone? Been a long time eh? As always, a lot of things in my life needed attention, especially the past 3 weeks. There was a Singapore trip last September and a bday/anniversary celebration with my GF last week so I’m really sorry it took me this long to get a new wallpaper up 🙂

I’m totally loving each and every RAW episode since the aftermath of SummerSlam. It’s always a treat to see angles like this when a lot of stars are being pushed and made relevant with just a single huge storyline that makes everyone look better. The Authority, as WWE loves to say, storyline has benefited not only the WWE Championship picture (Daniel Bryan-Randy Orton) but also Big Show, the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust and to a lesser extent, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz – both involved in recent Randy Orton/Shield altercations. Of course, it helps Orton become the killer Viper again though he has a long way to go in regaining that form. And The Shield? These 3 are the future of WWE hands down. Triple H is now the new super heel boss that everyone wants to see get his ass kicked. Steph is Steph. You can build a solid foundation for the WWE for years to come on this angle alone, as long as they don’t rush or screw this up.

In WWE SummerSlam 2004, Randy Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history by defeating the late Chris Benoit. Almost a decade later, Randy Orton is now a 10-time champion, with his latest reign starting from yesterday’s WWE SummerSlam. With John Cena taking time off to heal his injured elbow, as much as I might get heat for this, I think Randy winning last night was a better way to pave for him to become the top heel once again for WWE AND at the same time, handing the underdog and top face spot to Daniel Bryan. Remember how Austin was chasing the WWE Championship most of the time than him being a long-reigning champion? It’s about the chase, and I believe DBry will benefit more from that in the long run. As long as Daniel Bryan doesn’t suffer setbacks or any form of long-term injury, The Beard is on his way to becoming the top face of the WWE. This storyline will lead to amazing twists and turns, with Orton and Bryan providing great wrestling at the same time. We’ve been asking for a heel turn for Mr. RKO for years now and here he is now. It could also mean a revival of Corporation, with HHH and Orton leading the pack OR it could be a brand-new Evolution, with new members on their side. In the end though, Orton’s reign will be short-lived. Daniel Bryan is on his way to winning the WWE Championship for the 2nd time soon. Mark it.

Since a lot of fans have been talking about an Evolution reunion with Triple H and Randy Orton conspiring, today’s RKO wallpaper features Randy Orton, arguably, as the finest product Evolution has offered since the group’s formation. After a 2-week hiatus, Kupy Wrestling Wallpapers is back with this effort-busting wallpaper featuring the Money in the Bank match for a WWE Championship contract, or better known this year as MITB All-Stars. CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Kane, Christian and the returning Rob Van Dam are the included participants. I think Chris Jericho should’ve been included too (sorry Ryback). With the match named MITB All-Stars, it should be exciting and spectacular, especially since RVD and Daniel Bryan are in there. As for the winner, it’s pretty obvious that Bryan is gonna win. He’s on a hot streak right now and anything other than a Daniel Bryan win would be a letdown. CM Punk is headed for a Brock Lesnar encounter. Orton could be a wild pick though. As for Sheamus, Kane, RVD and Christian, I just don’t see them winning the briefcase this year.

So, who do you guys think will get the MITB WWE Championship contract? Whatever the outcome is, it’ll be an awesome match for sure!

The makeshift team of Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show looks odd especially considering how Sheamus is the only WWE Superstar left  from the Cena-Ryback-Sheamus superteam involved in this long feud against The Shield. Both John Cena and Ryback have their hands full on The Rock and Mark Henry respectively while Sheamus has been included in another superteam that makes another attempt to finally stop the roll The Shield is in right now. Even though Randy Orton and Big Show are suitable replacements for this 3 on 3 matchups, I still see the team of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns prevailing on the grandest stage of them all. WrestleMania 29 will mark another chapter on The Shield’s impressive journey to historical relevance by scoring another win on this team battle. What’s next for these 3 rookies is anyone’s guess.

Also, is everyone ready for the Orton heel turn? WrestleMania 29 looks like the perfect time to do it (*cough* Cena *cough*).

Videogame AND wrestling fans, October 30 (US) is just 2 days away! You know what I mean..WWE ’13! This year’s rendition will feature more WWE Superstars by adding the most popular wrestlers during the Attitude Era such as Stone Cold, The Rock, Val Venis, The Godfather, Ken Shamrock, APA and so many more! The WWE PG roster has been updated of course and we’ll see the likes of CM Punk, The Rock 2011, Damien Sandow, Masked Kane 2011, Antonio Cesaro and Big Hungry himself, Ryback! No reason NOT to get excited about that! Of course, WWE ’13 will feature enhancements on their game engine named Predator Technology 2.0. Season modes include Universe and Attitude. We’ll also get Eddie Guerrero and the Doctor of Thuganomics version of John Cena (that’s a personal favorite). And AJ Lee. Ahh can’t wait!

With no concrete storyline behind this feud, if you can even call it a feud, this match will rely heavily on how these 2 great wrestlers will be able to make something out of their time in the biggest stage of them all. Out of all the undercard matches, Orton vs. Kane is the most probable one that can steal the show. I personally want to see this match despite the lack of any real and believable buildup. What Kane mentioned on a recent WWE SmackDown was lame but I guess could be passable, depending on how you look at it. Either way, look for these two psychopaths to destroy each other at WrestleMania 28. A no-disqualification match could do wonders since a regular match wouldn’t give justice for the ‘destruction’ part of this fight.

A part of me still says that it should have been Kane vs. Zack Ryder for obvious reasons but somehow WWE didn’t go that route. Anyway, watch out for The Viper and The Big Red Monster to make some noise (and damage) on April 1, 2012. No April Fools joke can handle the wrath of these 2 men. This will be a flat-out war simple as that.

This week, we saw the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin (and JBL for a few minutes) and man, I must say I’m really proud to be a huge WWE fan nowadays. Even my peers are raving about this year’s WrestleMania season and how couldn’t they? Triple H, Undertaker, Trish Stratus, The Rock and now, Stone Cold Steve Austin in just a span of 1 month. Talk about laying all down the aces!

There have been ramblings around the net about how WWE Attitude era is owning WWE PG recently. Yes, I do wish that they eventually get rid of the PG programming but let’s be realistic here, do you guys really see WWE giving up the PG stuff anytime soon? As much as most adult fans want that, the future doesn’t look that way. After WrestleMania 27, most likely the Attitude era nostalgia will be gone again. Stone Cold and The Rock aren’t staying no matter what they say, Triple H is ready to relocate to the corporate ranks and Shawn Michaels is happily retired. The Undertaker has 1-2 years left in his body so he’s the only one who’ll probably stay from these veterans.

No one can deny how these guys have brought ratings up again these past few weeks and to see them feud with the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Alberto del Rio, The Miz and CM Punk would be a total treat for everyone. The Rock-Cena-Miz angle has been gold already. How about Stone Cold mixing up with Randy Orton? Even adult fans won’t have anything bad to say about that. I say have them stay until SummerSlam! Just dreaming.
