Fans have been clamoring for this matchup for years now. Well, the WWE Universe will get what they wish for on this year’s WWE SummerSlam. The Viper, Randy Orton, will be squaring off against The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar in what has been a fantasy matchup that we’ve been wanting to see since Lesnar came back to WWE. The feud kickstarted last Monday when Orton hit Brock Lesnar with an RKO #outtanowhere. And this was done while Paul Heyman was doing a promo about Randy not hitting even one RKO on Brock at SummerSlam. Then the next night on SmackDown, Brock invaded the show and hit an F5 on Randy to even the score. Well done, WWE. I like what I’m seeing.

Randy Orton has a well-known history of injuries on his shoulder. That might play a part on this matchup since we all know Brock Lesnar will tear Randy apart no matter what and Randy’s shoulder problems might spell doom for him if The Beast goes reckless. Even if The Viper wins this fight, he certainly won’t be coming out of this matchup without collateral damage. I’m 99% sure about it.

After Seth Rollins broke John Cena’s nose a few weeks back, the leader of Cenation roared back with a renewed focus at this week’s RAW during the Champion vs. Champion contract signing. It probably didn’t help Seth Rollins’ cause when he got Cena fired up because of the verbal abuse The Architect unleashed yesterday. The United States Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship are on the line, and someone’s walking out at Summerslam with these 2 prestigious championships. Whether it’s Cena for the 16th time, or Rollins..or even the current MITB briefcase holder Sheamus, whoever wins these championship titles will cement himself in WWE’s rich history. As for my pick, I’m probably going with John Cena on this one.

It was the epic brawl between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar that started WWE SummerSlam on the right track. The rematch, the revenge, the fight. Hell will break loose and no one can stop it. All the WWE Superstars that tried to stop these 2 a few weeks ago know exactly how impossible that task was.

Brock Lesnar claims he will ‘kill’ Undertaker. With Taker’s age and ring rust, I wouldn’t be surprised. The Phenom ain’t walking out of SummerSlam without any form of injury. At worst, this match may even prematurely (yes, Sting please) end Undertaker’s wrestling career. I just hope despite Taker’s limitations, him and Lesnar will be able to provide a worthy main event. No need for technical wrestling. This has all-out brawl written over it. As for the winner, Brock’s my pick. Probably an interference from Sting will cause a loss for Undertaker but honestly speaking, I don’t think it will happen. Survivor Series? YES.

Ever since Dolph Ziggler told Chris Jericho his opinion of him losing his touch, Y2J has found a new fire..though I dunno if this was the right time to turn face since he’ll be out of the WWE for quite a time again due to his Fozzy tour. Nonetheless, we’re seeing the Jericho of old lately, but a bit more PG LOL. What do you expect huh? Either way, regardless of the timing of his face turn, it was a much-needed change since his latest and current run hasn’t been impressive at all, just like what Dolph pointed out. Ziggler has maintained that stance and thus forced Jericho to turn it up a notch. These 2 have great chemistry and I can’t wait to see their match at SummerSlam. I see Jericho winning and getting a brutal post-beatdown at the hands of Ziggler to write him off from TV. Or the beatdown could happen on next week’s RAW instead.

For sure Jericho ain’t having second thoughts on whether he really has lost his touch or not. Aside from the recent Rey Mysterio Meet and Greet, there are other things I’m currently prioritizing over making wallpapers thus the lack of updates. Will make up for that I promise.

HHH vs. Brock Lesnar. WWE SummerSlam 2012. I think this will end the PPV since Punk is working on that “lack of respect” angle of his. As for this match main-eventing the show, I don’t mind actually. It won’t be a wrestling clinic that’s for sure since this will be an ugly encounter between two of the biggest names in WWE history. Expect this match to be brutal, with some interference from both Stephanie and Heyman. In the end though, I think Brock will snatch this one. He needs to get his heat back which was taken away in his losing effort against John Cena. That would make him relevant despite the lack of appearances. Trips will be fine even if he loses this match.

SummerSlam 2011 is shaping up to be another must-see WWE PPV just like the previous MITB PPV. The reason for that is simple: CM Punk vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship and the winner would go on to be the Undisputed WWE Champion.

After CM Punk made his return last week, Triple H, being the new COO of the WWE, had 2 WWE Champs on RAW. Something had to be done. Instead of stripping John Cena or CM Punk of their belts, The Game decided to do this his way and have them compete in SummerSlam for the sole ownership of the WWE Championship. This storyline intrigues me because it is fresh and involves real personal issues between HHH, John Cena and CM Punk. With SummerSlam approaching, WWE has gained steam and a steady rise in ratings because of Punk and the storyline that revolves around him. On SummerSlam, personally, CM Punk should win that match or his MITB win will look like nothing but a fluke. He has to back up that Best in the World label and losing to Cena will only mean that we’re back to the status quo he was talking about. However, regardless of who wins that night, I think Alberto Del Rio will be cashing his MITB briefcase after that and win the WWE Championship. For that scenario alone I would like CM Punk to win his match with Cena because that will give him that full babyface turn WWE’s trying to do with him. He needs to chase and climb that top of the mountain again so the fans could totally buy into his character. After a feud with Alberto, it’s going to be HHH vs. Punk at WrestleMania 28 for sure.
