As alway, I’m sorry for the long hiatus. Sometimes you just need to recharge your batteries so you can drive full speed again. Besides, it’s WrestleMania season already so cutting to the chase is the latest wallpaper featuring the main event at WrestleMania 28, the very much-awaited battle between two different generations, The Rock versus John Cena! With Cena, finally overcoming Kane’s influence, the leader of Cenation has gained momentum towards the biggest match of his life against the Great One, The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson. As for the winner of this match, this one’s hard to predict. If I have to choose, I say Rock with Cena turning heel right after the match. That would be the era-changer a lot of us have been waiting for years now. Hope it does happen. Either way, the WWE Universe are the real winners here. This is probably the biggest match in WWE history and we’re about to witness something incredible 6 weeks from now. It’s going to be a heck of match for sure. Enjoy the ride guys!

Hey Cena fans, look what we have here today! It’s the latest John Cena shirt design! Okay I’m sounding like a sarcastic older bro here.

Kidding aside, John Cena is still the man to beat at the top of the WWE mountain, like it or not. CM Punk is closely getting there, but right now, WWE is still Cena’s world, his rules and his likeness (hence the PG stuff. With Rocky coming for him in the next few months, I can see this will be a start of something new for him. I’m guessing it’ll culminate right after his match against The Great One at WrestleMania 28. Oh yes, I’m talking about the heel turn. After Rocky, there’s not much for him to do and I think it’ll be the perfect time to experiment something new for him. CM Punk will be the face champ by then and Cena will be the newly-turned heel challenger. How good would that be? Cena has brought the ratings and money being the PG guy, I believe he’ll do the same (and likely a lot more) when he finally makes that much-awaited turn. For now, we’ll be looking forward for the continuation of his feud against The Rock. Again, like it or not, that match WILL main event WrestleMania 28.

How’s it going everybody? Went on a short (and planned) vacation 2 weekends ago so I must say I’m quite refreshed and ready to make some wrestling wallpapers again! 🙂

As we already know, WWE’s newest and latest videogame got a much needed refresh. The SmackDown vs. Raw series was going downhill even before 2011. Heck, I barely played 2011. WWE ’12 is looking to change that destiny. Haven’t been following the updates about the game but I’ve read somewhere before that the action will be more natural-flowing, realistic and intelligent-looking.  That’s good news since I really hate the robotic action featured in the past SVR series. Also, the complexity of the buttons/moves are a big turn off on the SVR series. I’m not much of a gamer now as I was a decade or so ago so here’s hoping that WWE ’12 will have me hooked up on wrestling videogames again.

With the emergence of CM Punk plus him feuding with the recently-assigned COO Triple H and Kevin Nash, the “destiny” of Alberto del Rio and his Cena-centric feud with, of course, John Cena, Miz and R-Truth were left in the rubble. Everything they have said recently are true. These 2 were main-eventing PPVs, chasing and defending championships, constantly getting TV time and cutting epic promos before they were set aside for more trending WWE Superstars though it wasn’t really their fault ‘coz you have to ride that hot streak of certain superstars like CM Punk or Alberto del Rio. Now that they have a common ground or cause, these 2 loudmouths are ready to cause chaos again not only on the tag team division, but on the whole WWE programming itself. Sick of being underutilized, R-Truth and Miz will be seeking to reach the top of the mountain again and plan to stay there for a long while.

SummerSlam 2011 is shaping up to be another must-see WWE PPV just like the previous MITB PPV. The reason for that is simple: CM Punk vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship and the winner would go on to be the Undisputed WWE Champion.

After CM Punk made his return last week, Triple H, being the new COO of the WWE, had 2 WWE Champs on RAW. Something had to be done. Instead of stripping John Cena or CM Punk of their belts, The Game decided to do this his way and have them compete in SummerSlam for the sole ownership of the WWE Championship. This storyline intrigues me because it is fresh and involves real personal issues between HHH, John Cena and CM Punk. With SummerSlam approaching, WWE has gained steam and a steady rise in ratings because of Punk and the storyline that revolves around him. On SummerSlam, personally, CM Punk should win that match or his MITB win will look like nothing but a fluke. He has to back up that Best in the World label and losing to Cena will only mean that we’re back to the status quo he was talking about. However, regardless of who wins that night, I think Alberto Del Rio will be cashing his MITB briefcase after that and win the WWE Championship. For that scenario alone I would like CM Punk to win his match with Cena because that will give him that full babyface turn WWE’s trying to do with him. He needs to chase and climb that top of the mountain again so the fans could totally buy into his character. After a feud with Alberto, it’s going to be HHH vs. Punk at WrestleMania 28 for sure.

CM Punk = EPIC.

Right from the start of the main event, the crowd was electric for this one. CM Punk, the hometown hero, had the crowd on his hand. Make no mistake about it, the atmosphere wasn’t just because it was a Chicago homecoming for Punk, but because he got everyone’s attention ever since he cut that shoot promo on RAW 3 weeks ago. People were excited to see what will happen on his title match against John Cena and what do you know, both competitors delivered possibly the match of the year. This wasn’t a WrestleMania match but it was probably heaps better than the whole WrestleMania 27 event. It reminded me and most of the older fans how the Attitude era constantly produced these kind of electricity and matches (well, maybe not so much on the matches) weekly and on PPVs. I think we can all thank CM Punk for that. He brought fire to my/our idle passion for wrestling again.

Now that he has become WWE Champion, I think we can safely say that he has been resigned by WWE..but he will still take that much needed vacation. When he comes back, we all know he will be ready to rock the house again, and most likely, for the long haul.

Some might say the current holders of the 2 major titles in WWE shouldn’t be the ones holding them right now. Some say it should be The Miz. Some say Christian. Well, I say these 2 are the rightful holders, based on what they can do to elevate up and coming main eventers like Christian, Miz, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio. Anytime you beat these 2 future WWE Legends for their titles will always solidify the challengers’ spots on the main event scene. WrestleMania 27 is 1 week away! Are you guys ready for the biggest wrestling PPV of the year? Lock your seat belts because we’ll be in for a roller coaster ride with these main event matches! The World Heavyweight Championship match features the Rated R Superstar, Edge versus the brash Alberto Del Rio. For the WWE Championship match, it’s the man of awesome, The Miz against Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect (and not talented enough accdg. to The Rock), John Cena. And the match that will probably end WrestleMania 27, it’s the Game, Triple H challenging the Last Outlaw, The Undertaker with his WrestleMania Streak on the line. Pretty solid main event matches if you ask me. If Christian somehow gets included in the WHC match, not only will this wallpaper fail, but it would ruin the Alberto’s mega push because this is his time to shine and he needs this to be a one-on-one match against Edge to solidify his position on the main event ranks. It wouldn’t hurt Christian though (and in the past few weeks, it seems like he was the Royal Rumble winner and not Del Rio) so it can really go either way for me.

As for the WWE Championship match, hopefully we’ll be treated to some Rock interference or post-match brawl between these 3 WWE Superstars. Ever since Rock came back, you can’t deny that this feud got a much-needed boost. Both Miz and Cena are benefiting from this hot angle right now. Continue this until Summerslam and fans will surely dig this 3-way feud. Lastly, the chances of Triple H winning against Undertaker is ZERO. NO ONE IS GONNA BREAK THE STREAK. Triple H is gonna ‘die’ trying.

This week, we saw the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin (and JBL for a few minutes) and man, I must say I’m really proud to be a huge WWE fan nowadays. Even my peers are raving about this year’s WrestleMania season and how couldn’t they? Triple H, Undertaker, Trish Stratus, The Rock and now, Stone Cold Steve Austin in just a span of 1 month. Talk about laying all down the aces!

There have been ramblings around the net about how WWE Attitude era is owning WWE PG recently. Yes, I do wish that they eventually get rid of the PG programming but let’s be realistic here, do you guys really see WWE giving up the PG stuff anytime soon? As much as most adult fans want that, the future doesn’t look that way. After WrestleMania 27, most likely the Attitude era nostalgia will be gone again. Stone Cold and The Rock aren’t staying no matter what they say, Triple H is ready to relocate to the corporate ranks and Shawn Michaels is happily retired. The Undertaker has 1-2 years left in his body so he’s the only one who’ll probably stay from these veterans.

No one can deny how these guys have brought ratings up again these past few weeks and to see them feud with the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Alberto del Rio, The Miz and CM Punk would be a total treat for everyone. The Rock-Cena-Miz angle has been gold already. How about Stone Cold mixing up with Randy Orton? Even adult fans won’t have anything bad to say about that. I say have them stay until SummerSlam! Just dreaming.
